The fifth class in our six-class Garden To Table series was held Thursday, Friday April 28th in the teaching kitchen at the Food Bank in Clayton, Georgia. Chef Jenny Wilson, owner of Fromage and Other Fine Foods in Clayton, led the class. The evening’s class focused on international cooking. Chef Jenny chose to focus on Hungarian food. She grew up in Philadelphia and has been influenced by the diversity of ethnic food offered in the city. Chef Jenny led Mrs. Lunsford’s 4th grade students through chopping, dicing and slicing. Together she and the students made a salad with a honey vinaigrette, a delicious Hungarian stew and a strawberry crisp. The students are continuing to expand their culinary horizons and are looking forward to the last class in the series on May 12th with Chef Jamie Allred from Fortify.
