Garden Service Day for Rabun County School Community Garden

Come join us! This Monday, January 19th, Northeast Georgia Farm to School, community volunteers and partners, school faculty and staff, Georgia FoodCorps service members, and many other community members will be joining together to construct the Rabun County School Community Garden. This garden will provide a hands-on learning space that can be utilized by all teachers and students. We have already received a lot of community support from the Rabun County High School art class making the garden sign to Home Depot donating some of the needed materials. We are so excited about the garden plan and can not wait to come together Monday to make it happen! If you would like to volunteer, please see the schedule below and feel free to join us when you can. It should be a busy, fun-filled day!

10-Noon: Construction and Installation

Noon-1: Lunch

1-3: Planting

We will be meeting at the Rabun County School Bus Shop just up the hill from the Rabun County Middle School. There will be enough parking there for everyone. If you have any questions please contact Georgia O’Farrell: georgia@georgiaorganics.org or Ian Rossiter: ian.rossiter@foodcorps.org.
